

You ever get a random idea that you are soooo sure is gonna be delicious that you you can’t stop thinking about it until you try it? Then you try it & it’s as good as you thought & now you eat it everyday? Yeah, that’s this recipe. It was inspired by one of my favorite ice cream flavors I used to get on family vacations in Hilton Head, SC. It was a bright blue vanilla ice cream with cookie dough & cookie pieces in it called Cookie Monster. So here’s my take: a nutrient packed, plant based, refined sugar free, gluten free Cookie Monster protein shake!

Recipe
Cook time: 5 minutes
Serves: 1 protein shake
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 frozen bananas
- 1-2 tbsp protein powder (Sarah’s Day x Tropeaka Cookie Dough Fit Protein, or any other cookie flavored plant based protein powder works best)
- 1 tsp blue spirulina
- 1 tbsp cashew butter
- 1/2 – 3/4 cup (depending on consistency preference) or plant milk
- 2 tsp cacao nibs
Instructions:
- Add everything to the blender except cacao nibs. Blend until smooth
- Add in cacao nibs then blend just enough to break them up
- Pour into a cup & enjoy pre-workout, post-workout, or just as a tasty treat!
