2 Ingredient Applesauce

Applesauce is one of those foods that just oozes nostalgia. Here’s my problem though: it is PACKED full of sugar when you buy it in stores. The solution? make it yourself! It only takes 2 ingredients and 10 minutes. Trust me, once you make it yourself, you’ll never go back!

Recipe

Serves: ~12 oz

Cook time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of apples (apple type is totally up to you! I tend to use granny smith)
  • 1 cup of water

Instructions:

  • Cut and peel apples
  • Add to a pot with water
  • Bring to a boil
  • As apples soften, smash then with a wooden spoon (or other utensil)
  • Once the desired consistency is achieved, remove from pot and allow to cool
