
Applesauce is one of those foods that just oozes nostalgia. Here’s my problem though: it is PACKED full of sugar when you buy it in stores. The solution? make it yourself! It only takes 2 ingredients and 10 minutes. Trust me, once you make it yourself, you’ll never go back!

Recipe
Serves: ~12 oz
Cook time: 10 minutes
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of apples (apple type is totally up to you! I tend to use granny smith)
- 1 cup of water
Instructions:
- Cut and peel apples
- Add to a pot with water
- Bring to a boil
- As apples soften, smash then with a wooden spoon (or other utensil)
- Once the desired consistency is achieved, remove from pot and allow to cool
